Homework & Planners: The planner is used as a tool to help the kids learn to stay organized. The week’s homework will be recorded in the student planner every Monday. Typically, math homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday. Students should also be reading 20-30 minutes each night in order to reach their 9 week’s A.R. Goal. I don’t require a reading log. I prefer to track reading homework via the Accelerated Reading Program. More information about AR and accessing books online can be found on our reading page. sorgsclass.weebly.com/reading.html
iReady: Students should complete 50 minutes of both iReady Reading and iReady Math each week. This is normally completed here at school. (Please do not exceed the 50 minute math goal). Computers: Please make sure laptops are charged and ready for classroom use. Snack: Students are welcome to bring something healthy and easy to eat. Bottled water is also fine. No soda or energy drinks please. Special Area Schedule: Music, PE, PE, Art, PE Do’s & Don’ts: All 2nd Graders “DO” need to be able to tie their own shoes. Please “DON’T” bring toys to school without special permission. |
